There are 5 teams total-one each for math, science, social studies, language arts and an interdisciplinary team that is a combo of all four. Only 3 students participate at a time, with a limit of 5 total participants for each team at the competition. Teams usually have 9-10 students per team. Students answer a total of 25 questions, competing against other schools in their class. Students can be part of no more than 2 teams, and meet once a week per team after school for an hour to an hour and a half. At times there will be local competitions in April at other schools, it just depends on if a school is offering to host one. District competition is at Wawasee Middle School. The 2015 Indiana Academic Super Bowl theme is, "The Grandeur that was Rome." The subtopics vary by academic area. Each team member is responsible to research and study the sub-topics.
